The short version: Keepstack is built to be private. Everything you save stays on your device. We do not require an account, we do not collect personal data, and we do not track you.

This Privacy Policy explains how Keepstack (“the app”, “we”, “us”), developed by Essential Dev Team, handles your information. By using Keepstack you agree to this policy.

Information we do not collect

Keepstack does not collect, store on our servers, or share any personal information. Specifically:

No account or sign-up is required.
No name, email, or contact information is collected by the app.
No analytics, advertising identifiers, or third-party tracking SDKs are used.
We operate no backend server that receives your data.

Your saves

The links, notes, photos, screenshots, videos, audio recordings, and PDFs you save are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded to us. If you delete the app, its locally stored data is removed by iOS.

On-device AI

Keepstack’s AI features — reading text inside images, summarizing pages, auto-tagging, categorizing, and semantic search — run entirely on your device using Apple’s built-in frameworks (Vision and Natural Language). Nothing you save is sent to any AI service or server.

Saved web links

When you save a link, the app fetches that web page directly from your device to capture its title, preview image, and text so your save stays readable and searchable. This is an ordinary web request from your device to the page’s website; no information is sent to us.

Photos, camera and microphone

Keepstack asks for access to your Photos library only when you choose to import a photo or screenshot, and for your camera or microphone only when you choose to capture a video or record an audio memo. This all happens on your device. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security.

Share extension

The Keepstack share extension lets you save content from other apps. Shared content is written directly into the app’s private storage on your device; it is never transmitted anywhere.

Purchases and subscriptions

Keepstack offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (“Keepstack Pro”). All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Children’s privacy

Keepstack is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.
