Does my W-9 data get sent anywhere?

No. The app has no servers, no accounts and no analytics SDKs. Your name, address, SSN/EIN, signature and saved profiles all live on your device only. Data leaves your phone only when you tap the share button to email, AirDrop, print or save the PDF.

Is the form really IRS-compliant?

Yes. We start from the official fillable IRS Form W-9 (fw9.pdf) and stamp your data into the official fields. The PDF is flattened before export, so the recipient gets a clean, non-editable document. Electronic W-9 signatures are explicitly permitted by the IRS.

Can I save more than one W-9?

Yes. You can save multiple profiles — for example one for personal use and one for each LLC or business entity — and duplicate an existing profile to get started faster.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID you used to buy the unlock.

What if I make a mistake on the form?

Tap Edit from the preview screen to go back to any section. Changes auto-save as you type. You can re-sign, re-preview and re-export as many times as you need.

What devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later. Apple Pencil is supported for signing on iPad.

Does this app provide tax advice?

No. W-9 Form Generator is a form-preparation tool only. For tax or legal questions, please consult a qualified tax professional or visit irs.gov.
