Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Tip Calc application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
Description of Service
Tip Calc is a mobile application designed to help users:
- Calculate tips based on bill amounts and desired percentages
- Split bills among multiple people
- Track and save tip history
- View tipping statistics and summaries
The App is provided as a convenience tool and is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on your personal mobile device for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring the accuracy of data you enter into the App
- Verifying tip calculations before making payments
- Maintaining the security of your device
- Any decisions made based on the App's calculations
Accuracy of Calculations
Important: While we strive to ensure accurate calculations, you should always verify tip amounts before making payments. Tip Calc is a tool to assist with calculations, not a substitute for your own verification.
The App performs mathematical calculations based on the information you provide. We do not guarantee that calculations will be error-free in all circumstances. Always double-check important calculations.
In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Tip Calc may offer premium features through in-app purchases or subscriptions. By making a purchase:
- You agree to pay the listed price for the selected item or subscription
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings
- Refunds are handled according to Apple's App Store policies
Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, content, and functionality, is owned by Tip Calc and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written permission.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF CALCULATIONS
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TIPCALC, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App
- Damages resulting from any calculations or decisions made using the App
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or any in-app purchases in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tip Calc and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App will immediately cease.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tip Calc regarding the use of the App.
