- Place names and categories you assign to tips

This data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's standard data storage mechanisms and is never uploaded to any external servers.
Information We Do NOT Collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Payment or financial account information
- Device identifiers — we do not collect device identifiers ourselves; our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect the advertising identifier, only with your permission — see the Advertising section below
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
How We Use Your Information
Since all data is stored locally on your device, we do not have access to your tip history or calculations. The data you enter is used solely to:
- Calculate tips and split bills within the app
- Display your tip history and statistics
- Remember your preferences for a personalized experience
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored locally on your iOS device using secure storage mechanisms provided by Apple. We do not maintain servers that store your personal tip data. Your information remains on your device and under your control.
If you delete the Tip Calc app, all locally stored data will be permanently removed from your device.

- AdMob (Google Ads): The free version of Tip Calc displays banner ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC) — see the Advertising section below for details.

Advertising
The free version of Tip Calc displays banner ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). AdMob may collect device identifiers (including the advertising identifier, IDFA, only if you allow tracking), IP address, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. See https://policies.google.com/privacy.
When you first launch the app, iOS asks for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, the advertising identifier is not shared and you will see non-personalized ads.
Where required by law (for example in the EEA/UK), a consent form is shown before ads are served, and you can see non-personalized ads if you decline. You can also purchase the ad-free upgrade to remove ads entirely.
You can manage Google's ad personalization at https://adssettings.google.com.
Removing ads: Purchasing the Remove Ads / Pro subscription removes all advertising from the app. The purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive or store your payment details.
Children's Privacy
Tip Calc is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since all data is stored locally and we do not collect any personal information, no special provisions for children's data are necessary.
Your Rights and Choices
You have complete control over your data:
- Access: View all your stored data within the app's History and Summary sections
- Deletion: Delete individual tip entries or all data through the app settings
- Export: Export your tip history for your records
- App Removal: Uninstalling the app removes all associated data

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
