🔒 Your privacy is important to us. Price Before Tax is designed with privacy in mind — we don't collect, store, or share any of your personal data ourselves. The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob, described below.
Information We Collect
Price Before Tax does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information itself. All calculations are performed locally on your device. We have no servers that receive your data, and we have no way to access any information you enter into the app. Our advertising partner may collect limited data to serve ads, as described in the Advertising section below.
Data Storage
Your saved tax rate presets are stored locally on your device using iOS's built-in storage system (UserDefaults). This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not accessible to us or any third parties
- Is not backed up to any external servers
- Can be deleted by uninstalling the app
Analytics & Tracking
We do not use any analytics SDK or tracking of our own. We don't know how often you use the app, what calculations you perform, or any other usage data. The only third-party data collection in the app comes from our advertising partner, described below.
Advertising
The free version of Price Before Tax displays banner ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). AdMob may collect device identifiers (including the advertising identifier, IDFA, only if you allow tracking), IP address, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. When you first launch the app, iOS asks for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, the advertising identifier is not shared and you will see non-personalized ads.
Where required by law (for example in the EEA/UK), a consent form is shown before ads are served, and you can see non-personalized ads if you decline. You can also purchase the ad-free upgrade to remove ads entirely.

In-App Purchases
The app offers a Remove Ads in-app purchase that removes all advertising. The purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your payment details.
Third-Party Services
Other than Google AdMob (for advertising) and Apple's App Store (for in-app purchases), this app does not integrate with any third-party services that could collect your data. There are no:
- Analytics SDKs
- Social media integrations
- User accounts or logins
Children's Privacy
Our app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. All calculations happen on your device and we store no personal data. The app is not directed at children under 13; the free version contains third-party advertising as described above.
Data Security
Since all data remains on your device and is never transmitted, your information benefits from the security measures built into iOS, including device encryption and secure storage.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
