How do I set up the app for the first time?

When you first open StarKids, the interactive onboarding will guide you through creating your child's profile, setting up the first task, and adding a reward. You can always add more later in parent mode.

How do I switch to parent mode?

Tap the "Parent" button at the bottom of the screen. You'll need to enter (or create) a PIN to access parent controls where you can manage tasks, rewards, and settings.

I forgot my parent PIN. What do I do?

Unfortunately, for security reasons, there is no way to recover a forgotten PIN within the app. You can reinstall the app to reset all data, including the PIN. We recommend keeping your PIN in a safe place.

Can I add multiple kids?

Free users can have 1 child profile. Upgrade to StarKids Pro to add unlimited child profiles, each with their own points, streaks, and badges.

How do subscriptions work?

StarKids Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel, go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your device.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open StarKids, go to Settings, and tap "See Plans" in the subscription section. Then tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom of the paywall screen.

Is my data safe?

All data is stored locally on your device. If you enable Cloud Sync (Pro feature), data is stored in your personal iCloud account. We never have access to your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do streaks work?

Complete at least one task every day to build a streak. Streaks can earn bonus stars (configurable in parent mode). You can optionally pause streaks on weekends or enable vacation mode to protect your streak.

Can I request a refund?

Refunds for subscriptions are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund.
