Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Essential Dev Team ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Durak - Classic Card Game iOS application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

Information We Collect

The App does not require you to create an account, enter your email address, or provide payment details to us. However, some data is collected and processed to make certain features work — most notably online multiplayer, advertising, and Game Center leaderboards, as described below.

The following data interactions occur through backend and third-party services integrated into the App:

  • Google AdMob — The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising Identifier / IDFA on iOS), IP address, and general usage data for the purpose of serving relevant ads. This collection is subject to Google's own privacy policy and is governed by Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
  • Apple Game Center — If you are signed in to Game Center, your win count is submitted to a global leaderboard. Game Center data (such as your Apple ID alias and score) is managed entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your Apple ID or personal Game Center profile information.

Online Multiplayer

The App offers online multiplayer matches. Online play is powered by Supabase, a hosted backend service (privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy).

To run online matches, an anonymous player identifier and game data — your moves, room/lobby state, and your display name if you set one — are transmitted to and stored on the multiplayer server. This data is used solely to operate matches between players. It is not used to identify you, and it is protected by per-user access rules so that other players cannot access data that is not part of their match.

In-App Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases, such as coin packs. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store's In-App Purchase system. We never receive or store your payment details (such as credit card numbers or billing information); payment processing is handled entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Advertising

The App is free to download and play. To support ongoing development, we display banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob.

In accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, the App will request your permission before allowing AdMob to access your device's Advertising Identifier for personalized advertising purposes. You can:

  • Allow tracking — AdMob will use your Advertising Identifier to show ads that may be more relevant to your interests.
  • Decline tracking — AdMob will still display ads, but they will not be personalized based on your activity across other apps and websites.

You can change your tracking preference at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Where required by law (for example, in the EEA and UK), a Google consent form is shown before ads are served; declining shows non-personalized ads.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Google AdMob — Mobile advertising platform by Google. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
  • Supabase — Hosted backend service that powers online multiplayer (anonymous player identifier and game data). Privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy
  • Apple Game Center — Leaderboard and social gaming service by Apple. Privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies for details on how your data is handled.

Data Storage and Local Settings

The App stores your game preferences — such as your selected theme, card stack style, AI difficulty, and chosen game mode — locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults system. This data:

  • Is stored locally on your device.
  • Is deleted when you uninstall the App.

Your local win count is also stored on your device and may be synced to Apple Game Center if you are signed in and have granted the necessary permissions.

Separately, if you play online multiplayer, match-related data (your anonymous player identifier, moves, room/lobby state, and display name if set) is stored on our multiplayer backend as described in the "Online Multiplayer" section above.

Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for general audiences. However, the App displays advertisements via Google AdMob. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area).

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information through the App without your consent, please contact us at essentialdevteam@gmail.com and we will take appropriate action.

Data Security

Data stored locally on your device is protected by iOS's built-in security mechanisms, including device encryption and sandboxed app storage. Online multiplayer data stored on our Supabase backend is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and protected by per-user access rules, so each player can only access the data belonging to their own anonymous account and matches.

For data handled by Google AdMob and Apple Game Center, please refer to the security practices described in their respective privacy policies.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. The actions you can take are:

  • Delete multiplayer data — You can request deletion of your server-side multiplayer data (anonymous player identifier, match history, and display name) by contacting us at essentialdevteam@gmail.com.
  • Limit ad tracking — Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone and disable tracking for the App.
  • Reset Advertising Identifier — Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → and reset your Advertising Identifier.
  • Manage Game Center data — Sign out of Game Center or manage your Game Center data through your Apple ID settings.
  • Delete local app data — Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored preferences.

For requests related to data held by Google or Apple, please contact those companies directly.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, applicable laws, or third-party service integrations. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. Significant changes that affect your rights will be communicated through an in-app notice or an updated App Store description where required by law.
