Privacy Policy

Essential Dev Team ("we", "us", or "our") built Classic Dominoes ("the App") as a free app supported by ads, with an optional premium upgrade. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the App.

Information We Collect

We do not require an account, and we never ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other personal details to use the App.

Your games, scores, statistics, themes and preferences are stored on your device. The only data that leaves your device is described below: anonymous usage statistics (which you can turn off), Game Center scores if you are signed in to Game Center, and the data Google AdMob collects to show ads in the free version.

Anonymous Usage Statistics

To understand how the App is used and to fix problems, the App sends anonymous usage statistics to our own analytics service (hosted on Supabase). No third-party analytics or tracking SDK is involved. The statistics are tied to a random installation ID created by the App, which is not linked to you, your Apple Account or your device's advertising identifier, and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

What is sent:

• Device model, iOS version and App version
• Language, region and time zone settings
• Accessibility settings that affect how the App is displayed (for example, larger text)
• When a session starts and ends, and the last screen you were on
• Game events: a match started, finished (win, loss or tie, whether it was blocked, and the points scored) or was left early; a theme selected or unlocked; statistics reset; Game Center screens opened; the playful-messages setting turned on or off
• Premium screen views and taps, and purchase and restore events (that a purchase or restore happened, never the price or a transaction ID)
• When the App asks for a review, to share it, or to allow reminders
• Crash and performance reports from Apple's MetricKit

What is never sent: your name, email, phone number or address; your location; your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) or identifier for vendors (IDFV); prices paid, receipts or transaction IDs; or any content you create. Your IP address is not stored or used.

Retention: usage statistics are kept for up to 13 months; crash and performance reports for up to 6 months. After that they are deleted.

Turn it off: open the App's Settings > Privacy and turn off Share Usage Data. Collection stops immediately and any statistics not yet sent are deleted from your device.

Delete your data: copy your Installation ID from Settings > Privacy and email it to us at the address below. We will delete all statistics linked to it.

Game Center

The App uses Apple Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. Signing in is optional, and the game works fully without it. If you are signed in, your total wins, best win streak, total points and achievement progress are sent to Apple Game Center so they can appear on leaderboards and achievements, where other players can see your Game Center nickname. This data is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; we do not receive it on our own servers. Resetting your statistics in the App does not remove scores already on the leaderboards. You can sign out of Game Center in iOS Settings at any time.

Reminders

After a couple of matches, the App may ask whether you would like occasional reminders to come back and play. These are local notifications scheduled on your device; nothing is sent to us. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings > Notifications > Dominoes.

Third-Party Advertising

The free version of the App displays banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect certain data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, including:

• Device Identifier — Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for ad targeting.
• Coarse Location — Approximate location based on IP address for regional ad relevance.
• Usage Data — Information about how you interact with ads (impressions, clicks).
• Advertising Data — Information about advertisements displayed to you.

This data is collected and processed by Google under their own privacy policy. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps.

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, you are first shown Google's consent form, and no ad is requested until you have answered it. You can change your choice at any time in the App's Settings > Privacy > Ad Privacy Choices.

iOS then asks for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not shared and you will see non-personalized ads. Premium users see no ads, and the ad SDK is not started for them.

In-App Purchases

The App offers a one-time Premium purchase to remove ads and unlock all themes. All payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App contains third-party advertising which may collect device identifiers as described above.

Data Retention

Game data stored on your device stays there until you delete the App. Anonymous usage statistics are kept as described above (13 months; crash and performance reports 6 months). Game Center entries are managed by Apple.

Your Choices

• Usage Statistics — Turn off Share Usage Data in the App's Settings > Privacy.
• Ad Consent — In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, change your choice in Settings > Privacy > Ad Privacy Choices.
• Ad Tracking — You can limit ad tracking in your device settings under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
• Remove Ads — Purchase Premium to remove all third-party advertising and associated data collection.
• Reminders — Turn them off in iOS Settings > Notifications > Dominoes.
• Delete Data — Uninstalling the App removes all game data stored on your device. To delete usage statistics, email us your Installation ID. Game Center entries are managed by Apple.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
