By downloading or using the StarKids app, you agree to these Terms of Service (EULA). Please read them carefully.
1. Use of the App
StarKids is a family chore-tracking application designed to help parents manage tasks and rewards for their children. The app is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You agree to use the app in accordance with all applicable laws.
2. User Accounts
StarKids does not require account creation or registration. All data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your parent PIN and for all activity that occurs within the app on your device.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
StarKids offers optional auto-renewable subscription plans ("StarKids Pro") that unlock additional features:
- Monthly Plan: Billed monthly.
- Yearly Plan: Billed annually.
Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
Subscription Terms:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited upon purchase of a subscription.
4. Intellectual Property
The StarKids app, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by StarKids and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you create within the app (child profiles, task names, etc.). This content is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StarKids shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data.
8. Children
StarKids is designed for use by families with children. The app should be set up by a parent or legal guardian. We recommend parents supervise their children's use of the app and configure the parent PIN to restrict access to settings.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service (EULA) from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
