Each drink has a scientifically-backed hydration multiplier based on peer-reviewed research. Water is 100%, coffee is 92% (Killer et al. 2014), tea is 95%, beer is -10%, wine is -30%, and spirits are -50%. These values represent net hydration after accounting for diuretic effects.
No. All your drink data stays on your device. Vessel has no accounts, no backend, and no analytics. If you enable Apple Health sync, your water and caffeine intake are saved to HealthKit on your device — you control that entirely.
Alcohol suppresses vasopressin (antidiuretic hormone), causing your kidneys to release more fluid than you consumed. Spirits at 40% ABV can dehydrate you by approximately 50% of the volume consumed. Beer and wine have smaller effects due to their lower alcohol content.
In Settings, toggle "Enable reminders" and set your preferred start hour, end hour, and interval (every 60–240 minutes). Vessel schedules local notifications at each interval. You must grant notification permission when prompted.
Go to Settings → Data → "Delete all drink data". Confirm, and every logged drink is permanently removed. You can also delete individual drinks by long-pressing them or swiping in History.
Yes. In Settings, tap the "Daily target" field and enter any value. You can also enter your body weight to auto-calculate the recommended goal (half your weight in ounces).
Not yet. All data is stored locally on your device. iCloud sync is on the roadmap for a future update.
