1. Information We Collect

TintCalc Pro is designed with privacy in mind. Here's what we collect:

• Estimate Data: Customer names, contact info, and measurements you enter are stored locally on your device.
• Settings: Your app preferences and custom pricing are stored locally.
• iCloud Sync (Optional): If enabled, your data syncs to your personal iCloud account.
• Camera & Photos: The camera is used only when you scan a film-roll serial number or take a photo of a window, a wall or a roll label. You can also pick a photo from your library; the app only sees the photo you choose. Photos are stored inside the app on your device (not in your Photos library), and in your own export file or iCloud backup if you make one. They are never sent to us.
• Location: Only when you tap "Use Current Location" in a job's address, the app asks iOS for your position once to fill in the address, using Apple Maps. We never receive or store your location.
• Subscription Info: Apple handles all payment processing. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status.
• Sending Estimates: When you email or text an estimate, it is sent through your own Mail or Messages app (or the app you share it to). It never passes through us.
• Bug Reports: If you report a problem (shake the phone, or Settings → Support), the app opens an email to us with your device model, iOS version and app version filled in. Nothing is sent unless you tap Send.
• Anonymous Usage Statistics: see the next section. You can switch them off at any time.

Anonymous Usage Statistics

To find out which features help and what breaks, TintCalc Pro sends anonymous usage statistics to our own server (hosted on Supabase). No third-party analytics or advertising SDK is used. This data is not linked to you and is not used for tracking.

What is sent:

• A random installation ID created by the app (it is deleted when you delete the app)
• Device model, iOS version and app version
• Language, region and time zone
• Accessibility settings (for example, larger text or VoiceOver)
• When a session starts and ends, and the last screen you were on
• App events, as counts and categories only: an estimate was saved (and how many windows it has), an estimate was sent (by email, text or share), cuts were optimized, a film roll was added, a backup was exported or restored
• Paywall views and plan taps; purchase, restore, renewal, plan-change, cancellation and refund events, with the plan (product ID and period) and simple counts such as how many sessions and paywall views came before a purchase. Never the price you paid, receipts or transaction IDs.
• Subscription status (free, trial or Pro, plan period, whether it renews)
• Review-prompt requests
• If you cancel your subscription, the answer you pick in the optional one-tap survey ("too expensive", "got what I needed" and so on), if you answer it
• Crash and performance reports from Apple's MetricKit

What is never sent: customer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses, measurements, prices, photos, notes, or anything else you type or create; your name, email or phone; your location; the advertising identifier (IDFA) or vendor identifier (IDFV); prices you paid, receipts or transaction IDs. Your IP address is not stored or used.

Retention: usage statistics are kept for 13 months, crash and performance reports for 6 months.

Turn it off: Settings → Privacy → Share Usage Data. When it is off, nothing is collected or sent, and any data waiting on the device is deleted.

Delete your data: copy your Installation ID from Settings → Privacy and email it to us at essentialdevteam@gmail.com. We will delete everything linked to that ID.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Provide the app's core functionality (creating estimates)
• Sync your data across your devices (if iCloud is enabled)
• Verify your subscription status
• Improve the app using anonymous usage statistics (see above)

3. Data Storage & Security

All your estimates and settings are stored:

• Locally on your device using iOS secure storage
• In iCloud (optional) using Apple's encrypted cloud infrastructure

We do not have access to your estimates, customers or settings. They never pass through our servers. The only data that reaches us is the anonymous usage statistics described above.

4. Third-Party Services

TintCalc Pro uses the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store: For subscription management and payments
• Apple iCloud: For optional data synchronization
• Apple Maps (MapKit): Address suggestions and look-up while you type a job address
• Supabase: Hosts our own server that receives the anonymous usage statistics

Apple's services are governed by Apple's privacy policy.

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: View all your data within the app
• Export: Export your data at any time
• Delete: Delete all data from Settings → Data Management (this also clears your iCloud copy if iCloud sync is on)
• Portability: Export and import your data freely

7. Children's Privacy

TintCalc Pro is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date.
